Hello,
I just spoke with the carpenter, and since he is (still) not up to date, I would like to ask for advice here. Apparently, a new building regulation has been in effect with us since February 1st, and I have already found the passage "The alteration and change of use of attics for residential purposes, including the construction of dormer windows, is exempt from approval." Now I am wondering several things: Does "change for residential purposes" also apply if the floor is already living space? The current situation is as follows: the upper floor is already living space, and bedroom and kitchen share a shed dormer with one window each. The sloping roof is very limiting in terms of use, furniture, etc., so I would like to enlarge the dormer. Of course, I am currently in the process of putting together plans, photos, etc., and I will then approach the municipality, but I like to be prepared. Since I do not currently live there, I am unable to upload pictures, etc., at this time.
Thanks in advance.
