Does a snow and ice load gutter come with a companion heating?

When I look at our zinc gutter with the current amount of snow, I am currently asking myself how much snow or frozen snow it can hold?

At the same time, because of the frozen snow and the sub-zero temperatures of the past days, snow/ice is piling up in the gutters and almost nothing slides off the roof. Does an electric heating cable that you put into the gutter and turn on when needed help with this? So that the snow always melts nicely and slides towards the gutters? Or is it just the electricity provider who benefits because you're heating the outside air?

Sorry, but I can only describe that as an absolute crackpot idea :D

Have the gutter properly reattached if it has come off.

oh yeah: How many fallen gutters have you actually seen when walking through the streets?

Firstly, nothing has fallen off, bent, or anything like that and is also far from giving that impression.

You just tend to have your thoughts as a new builder.

But nice that it's a crazy idea for you, but those things probably have some reason to exist.

Ideally, when building, one pays attention to snow guards so that snow does not slide from the entire roof into the gutter or fall on someone’s head below. Snow noses are relatively inexpensive if installed right away and significantly more expensive if retrofitted later. I also consider such a heating system for the gutter rather nonsense. The gutter should be dimensioned according to the snow load zone; for the mountains, there are also specially reinforced gutters.

Knock off long icicles. They do weigh quite a bit. Snow guards or noses. Then you don't have to worry much about someone being hit by a roof avalanche.

Snow guards do exist above the entrance but not around the house

It was just an idea with the [Rinmenheizung]
