Hello everyone!
In 1999, we bought a turnkey house and - like most others probably - installed a water filter in front of the pressure reducer. An acquaintance told me that this was nonsense and would become a breeding ground for germs in the medium term, having a negative effect. Additionally, it has to be replaced regularly, which is associated with costs. Since then, we have not had the filter cartridge in it, without any problems.
After all these years, the pressure reducer has now given up, so I have to have it replaced. On this occasion, I am wondering again: should I have a filter installed again or is that really nonsense?
What do you think?
Thank you in advance!
Regards, Matthias
