Hello.
First of all: Single-family house, construction with individual contracts.
So far, we are not very satisfied with our architect. Planning was very slow, communication was insufficient, hardly any consulting.
In spring, we want to start construction and are wondering whether it makes sense to continue with him as the construction management.
The first question here is which services we need.
We can coordinate the craftsmen ourselves. Assessing whether a trade has been done properly or if rework is necessary is probably less so.
Can one take over the management oneself and still hire an expert to check the craftsmen, or is there more that falls under "construction management," e.g. any legal matters?
Thanks for your opinions!
