Hello everyone,
we have bought an old house and are currently renovating. Now we want to turn the upstairs bathroom into a regular room because we don't need two full bathrooms. There were/are: toilet, sink, shower, connection for a washing machine.
We want to dismantle the pipes as far back as possible and then seal them. The following problem:
We can at most close the main water valve. We haven't found any place upstairs where we could shut off the bathroom itself or a supply line.
How do you shut something like this off so that no water flows out when removing the fittings and, above all: How do you seal a supply line in a germ-free way if it is no longer used?
Whenever I google, I find answers about wastewater pipes but nothing about supply lines so far.
