Hello people, I would be interested to know to what extent a wooden house makes noises. Are they very noticeable or barely audible once you are used to them? How loud should one imagine this creaking to be? Thank you!

define wooden house... completely made of wood, or a prefabricated house in timber frame construction?

I mean a house that was built using timber frame construction.

Have you ever been in one of these prefabricated houses and listened to the floor there? Nothing creaks. A screed is applied just like in solid houses, and then you get the same feeling as in solid construction.

I didn't mean the floor but rather the "timber framework." Everything is made of wood, after all. And you know that wood moves...

Hello Bauherrin7,

what do you think, how is the roof truss made in a solid house? Or what do you understand by [Gebälk]?

Best regards
