Hello,

We have parquet flooring throughout the apartment and are now looking for a suitable dirt-trapping rug for the entrance area. Where can we get this from?

Thanks for the info

A dirt trap carpet? For inside the apartment? Wouldn't a simple bristle doormat or a slightly higher-quality dirt-catching mat also work? Maybe I misunderstand dirt trap, because it always brings up the oversized image of some entrance halls with huge doormats and revolving doors for me. :o

Hi, we always had the problem that everyone tracked in so much dirt. But we were able to solve it by placing a mat at the door. They come in every size and also in many colors. You can also wash these mats in the machine if they are not too big. I can't think of a better solution for that.

I have solved it this way as well. I have a mat in front of the door where the dirt falls off the shoes. This is also practical and this doormat is easy to wash. I find a dirt airlock carpet too oversized for the entrance area.

I have such dirt-trapping mats in the entrance area, and they come in different sizes. The advantage is that they are extremely durable. The underside has a rubber layer and therefore cannot slip. They also come in different colors, which then matches every tile.

Cleaning is done with the vacuum cleaner, and especially in the winter months, this mat goes in the washing machine. I wash it at 30 degrees Celsius, and afterwards it looks almost like new. I can only recommend that.

I looked around again because our mats are a bit worn out. I took Nicole's suggestion and then looked on the internet. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised and above all, they are really inexpensive. I will place an order next week.
