Hello dear community,
I ordered granite masonry stones (35cm x 15cm x 15 cm). However, these were supposed to be glued in the second row (no mortar). This was also described to us this way in the exhibition. After 4 months of delivery time, we received the stones, but unfortunately the gardener cannot use them because the deviation is sometimes + 1cm.
When I complained, it was initially dismissed as normal. On the internet, I have always read a tolerance specification of +- 2mm for sawn masonry stones. Unfortunately, our building materials dealer did not include a tolerance specification, only the description "sawn".
After several indications of the defect, I was sent an excerpt from the standard "DIN EN 12058 Natursteinprodukte- Bodenplatten- Stufenbeläge," with the note that +-5mm should be tolerated.
In my opinion, this standard does not apply because I have masonry stones.
There are also the following standards: DIN EN 12058 Natursteinprodukte- Steine für Massivarbeiten DIN EN 771-6 Festlegung für Mauersteine- Teil 6 Natursteine
Unfortunately, I have no access to check them. Before I plan further steps, I would like to know the valid requirements.
Does anyone have experience with this or anyone have the above-mentioned standards? I am grateful for any help.
Thank you very much for the support Sushi
