Differences BWT water softening system

does anyone have experience with the BWT water softening systems?

I am a bit overwhelmed.
Specifically, it is about the BWT Perla.

Is there a difference between the BWT Perla offered in hardware stores and the BWT Perla offered on the BWT website?

There is quite a significant price difference.
Hardware store around €2800
BWT around €5000

Maybe someone in the plumbing sector can tell me the reasons for the price differences?
Is the one in the hardware stores just an older model or are there other differences?

The price at BWT seems too high to me, and you can't really order online anyway. Maybe installation and commissioning are included in the price, but no one knows for sure. Just request an offer. now an offer just came in from a friend who is a plumber: 3000€ plus VAT but are there technical differences? Do you know anything about that?

As I said, the product number is the same. Whether BWT includes any additional accessories and service, I can't see in my crystal ball right now.
