Good day,

I have a small problem and hope there is someone here who can help me. We renovated everything upstairs in our house.

A wall was already coated with textured plaster by a company about 7 years ago. Now I wanted to use the same textured plaster on the new wall if possible. I went to the hardware store, but everyone says you can't really tell which plaster was applied back then. So I just bought textured plaster (Krönung 2mm) at the hardware store. When applying it, I unfortunately noticed that it looks completely different...

Now to my question:

Is this even textured plaster?
Does anyone know what kind it might be?

I have attached 2 pictures of the existing plaster in the attachment.

Thank you very much!

On the one hand, I only see one picture..., the plaster would still need a scale to estimate the grain size. On the other hand, the painting company would not have used plaster from the hardware store... I would consult a specialist company with a photo including a scale.

Ypg is right, without a scale it is difficult, but it looks like 2 and 3mm plaster

Hello,

thank you for the answers.

I have now searched on the internet and found the following:

Plaster textures (from left): Slap plaster, rough plaster, fine plaster, and scratch plaster.

If I look at my photo, they probably used slap plaster back then...
