Development plan for single-story extension - bay window possible?

Hello everyone!

According to the development plan, extensions on our property are only allowed to be single-story with a maximum of one-third the area of the main building. However, we would like to build a two-story bay window for the staircase landing.

Is there a specific depth from which a bay window is considered an extension? Projecting one brick width (or two bricks) would be sufficient for us, not only for floor plan reasons but also for aesthetic reasons. We would also like to highlight the bay window externally with a different color.

An "extension" actually means an enlargement of an existing building, which I see in the further text

but not really, to me that sounds more like a projection. It’s best if you name the development plan (Be careful, without a link! – so in the format "Hintertupfing, Wiesengrund II"), then we’d be happy to take a look at it.

The day after tomorrow is Monday, so your building authority should be reachable by phone then. Nationwide opinions and speculations are unnecessary here. Besides, an architect knows how to manipulate the floors. He has to be brought on board/into the house anyway – without him, there will be no extension, no bay window, no staircase.
