Hello everyone,

we currently have a problem at the construction site: work is not progressing.
The earthworks are completed, the base slab of the [white tank] is finished, and that’s it. We have now been waiting for five weeks for the basement walls (alleged delivery time approx. six weeks) and still have no concrete date. Our structural engineer points out that the concrete plant supposedly cannot provide dates... at the earliest about 3-4 working days before delivery.

I can hardly believe that such companies cannot plan further ahead... do they use a random generator to decide which projects are processed? ;-)

Well... to get to the point. What can or should I do? No production date was agreed (I WOULD NEVER DO THAT AGAIN). Can I set a deadline?

Looking forward to your advice.

Best regards,
Christian

Hello,

strange, we apparently have the same concrete company, but with us they quickly shuttered and poured everything!

Take a look at your construction contract, mine says something about being able to set a deadline and then work must continue within 14 days. But without a completion date, it’s really annoying!

We have been rescheduled for the third time this week. Our contract contains nothing about timelines or deadlines...

I am absolutely at a loss. :(
