Hello everyone,

we are currently planning our new kitchen. In doing so, we came across the material Dekton for the countertop.
Does anyone have experience with this material? How does it compare price-wise to a good granite (e.g. Nero Assoluto)?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

I haven’t installed the slab yet, but I have been able to admire its properties. Dekton is very hard, which requires very precise work beforehand, and it is probably more expensive (unfortunately, I cannot say how much). What makes the slab, in my opinion, special is that it is very heat resistant; you can place hot pans or pots on it without it being damaged. I think you have probably already been informed about the other properties. From everything I have seen, it is highly recommended if you are willing to pay the corresponding price.

If you want, I can try to get some information.

The features and the appearance have really impressed me. So far, I have only found positive feedback online. I just fear that after my next visit to the kitchen studio, I will know the only downside (price). If you could find out something about this in advance, without much effort, that would be great. Then we could already consider whether we even want to think further in this direction.

I just downloaded the product manual to get a little smarter.

I'll gladly do it for you, but it will surely be early next week.

Good evening,

when this material came on the market in 2012 or 2013 - I don't remember exactly - the price was around € 730.00/meter. I think there are now several suppliers of this great material. Therefore, the price will have been reduced somewhat
