Hello,

does anyone have experience with decorative sleeves on the hinges of the interior doors?

Since I want "exotic" brass door handles, and there apparently are no brass hinges (or at least not from my company's supplier), I am supposed to get brass decorative sleeves. So that the hinges visually match the handles/grips.

It was presented as unproblematic, but now I have doubts. I wish I could meet someone here who knows something about this.

Regards

It's really very simple. These are thin metal sleeves that are simply slipped over the bands of the door leaf. I used them often during my training.

Hello . By very simple, do you mean simply = cheap = ugly = not very durable? Or do you perhaps mean simply = uncomplicated = trouble-free = good?

The cases are not recognizable as such, at least at first glance.

I had a look. Of course, there are door hinges made of brass, which can be very easily replaced with the others. Simply unscrew them from the door leaf and the Allen screw in the frame.

Yes, thanks. I’m going to get a first offer soon, and I’ll first look at it in terms of price. Then I’ll have another one made with the brass bands and maybe better handles, and then I can decide depending on the extra cost.

The supplier has only sent me a handle catalog so far, from which I have picked out two specific handles. I will first find out whether the brass is solid or coated or just brass-colored. In my opinion, this is not clearly indicated in the catalogs (and I have already looked at several such product lists online). I told the supplier this and he said he felt the same way, he has to inquire himself first... Strange world. o_O Is this totally irrelevant to everyone else but me? With the piece of furniture, I also know whether it is printed, veneered, or solid.
