Good day,

elsewhere in the forum (here: ) I read that the DÅTID products are being "phased out". Does this refer to the entire series or only to certain products of the series?

Since I still need to get the range hood for the kitchen, the question now arises for me: "Wait a little longer and possibly get a bargain or buy now?"

Does anyone have an idea or know more?

the Datid series is being completely discontinued and the mentioned hood is being replaced by at least a visually identical model under a different name. There will then be a hood for wall mounting and another model for ceiling mounting.

Whether it is worth waiting for the hood no one can tell you. This model exists in the houses mostly in small quantities which may quietly be sold off and then simply replaced by the new one.

as said, you can't generalize that. If the stock is high, the hood is usually discounted more; if it's only a small stock, it is sold at the normal price or sometimes, for example, on a Saturday as a daily special, it is offered super cheap. The stores decide that on their own, not Ikea centrally.

No guarantee, I see the bargain probability quite high...

Take a look in the current catalog, there are many hoods with even more power but significantly cheaper...

Whether the country house style argument holds with the P/L ratio, no idea.

Are employees even allowed to tell me that the [Haube] will be cheaper next week than today?

I doubt that.

In that respect, I can't imagine that asking will help...
