Hello everyone,
we are currently planning the lighting for our living room or living and dining room. This is a relatively large room with a floor area of about 54 sqm and a not to be underestimated height (4.50 meters under the ridge). The room also has a sloping roof.
We currently favor the installation of a track lighting system. In my search, I came across various providers – but I am currently stuck on the 3-phase track lighting system from SLV "S-Track". Does anyone have experience regarding the processing, quality, and compatibility with other manufacturers? As far as I understand, almost all lights from other manufacturers can be used in this track system.
The DALI connection would be important to us here, as we want to integrate the light control into our smart home installation (Loxone). I know there is also a system from Molte Luce. However, that exceeds the budget by a large margin...
Are there any alternatives to the S-Track system?
I keep reading something about EUTRAC. Sometimes it is called SLV EUTRAC (same manufacturer as S-Track), sometimes just EUTRAC. Are these two different systems? And not DALI capable, or am I wrong here?
Installation
As already mentioned, the system should be installed on the sloping roof. We are not yet quite sure whether directly on the ceiling or in a suspended form. Is there anything from an installation point of view or from the track lighting perspective against direct mounting on the sloping roof? The rails would then be mounted with the slope of the roof (about 21 °C, the roof is not that steep) and the lamps would have to be aligned accordingly or would be vertical again due to the suspension.
Best regards
