Hello everyone,
I need to temporarily create a compacted gravel layer in my outdoor area (until the garden is completed) (potential fire department access area, approx. 3x3 m).
Currently, there is only loose soil with large height differences. What is the best approach here?
My amateur plan:
1. Remove soil in the area with a shovel and pile it up to create a roughly flat surface of 3x3 m.
2. Distribute gravel
3. Use a rammer
Would it possibly be better to compact the soil before laying the gravel and then again afterward?
Do my steps make sense or should I do it completely differently or add something else?
Thank you.
