Hello forum, the following scenario. I am currently building my house and wanted to have it connected to the electricity and water supply by the city. Now the city came to prepare everything and noticed that the connection point is on the opposite side of the street. However, the neighbor's crane is currently standing there, presumably for many weeks. Does he have to move it? Otherwise, I could not continue.

Is the crane even allowed to stand on connection points/shut-off points?

Good question. However, I couldn't find anything about this on the internet. It is still a construction area, but actually everyone should stay on their own property and if not, you need a permit or am I seeing this wrong? I think he didn't know where to park his crane. For me, high costs are accumulating over time.

The really crucial question is:
Is the crane space compacted?

Sorry, had to say that.
No idea how that is managed.
Your house connection and its current crane space are on public ground, understood correctly?
Both quite normal, just annoying if you have to access them at the same time.
Try to find out how long the crane still has to stay there.
What specific costs are incurred for you due to the connection delay?
Can't they basically prepare it at the house and then actually connect it later?

Hello,
shouldn't that be the problem of the suppliers?
After all, those are their lines / connections.

I see it the same way as Olli. You probably have a contractual relationship with the city. You have to take care of certain things (scaffolding removal, lockable meter room....) and then they have to fulfill their duty. Your contact person is therefore the city. And they have to crack down on the neighbor. How much longer does the crane need? With us, it was gone after 4 weeks.
