Hello everyone!

Our concrete staircase has had carpet since our single-family house was built, which now looks really bad after 15 years. Since we want something durable, we have decided on granite after much consideration and are still undecided between lighter (Kaschmir White) and darker (Steel grey) granite. Both are supposed to have quite similar properties.

Nevertheless, I wonder if scratches etc. show up much more quickly on dark granite than on light granite.

What do you think?

Thank you very much in advance!

Regards, Matze

We have experience with Kaschmir White (kitchen and hallway) and Labrador Blue Pearl (guest WC). Both floors look identical after about 9 years. Granite is so hard and resistant, you can choose whatever you want. For the new house, however, we decided on porcelain stoneware for the stairs. There will be joints, but the color selection is much larger.
