Hello,
for our single-family house with a saddle roof, the shed dormer is now being covered with roof tiles. This is happening at our request because we still have enough roof tiles left for the area and the solution with roofing felt did not convince us in terms of quality.
The contractor explained to me that he had to order 10 verge tiles - that makes sense to me. However, that would cost him €800 - which again does not make sense. Verge tiles that expensive do not even exist. Of course, he will try to pass these costs on to us (it should be noted that the dormer is a design flaw and is integrated into the facade because there is no roof substructure).
Are these costs of 800 bucks for a surface area of max. 7m² not somewhat overpriced???
As mentioned, flat tiles are still available, as well as wood for the substructure and vapor barrier.
