Hello everyone,

when I read about the slope of window sills, I repeatedly notice that at least 5° is mentioned.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any guideline on this! The only one I found is from Austria. Of course, I cannot apply that to Germany.

Can someone tell me where I can find a precise description? I ask because I have the impression that the slope is nowhere correct here.
And in winter, of course, the roller shutters freeze shut in frost. I suspect due to insufficient slope.

Has the Rosenheim Institute or RAL written anything about this topic?

Thanks to you all!

Best regards

As far as I know, there is no binding regulation in Germany. However, there are guidelines ([Glaserhandwerk, Rosenheim]) that suggest a minimum slope of 5 degrees.

Do you have the guideline on hand? Name or possibly guideline number?

What is the name of the lady with the Heinz von Heiden house? They had a legal dispute and had all the window sills replaced. By the way, even if the slope is sufficient, the roller shutter gets stuck at the window sill.

Can someone maybe send me the above-mentioned regulations? The detail would be enough. Does anyone have that?
