Hello everyone

We are not really happy with our floor-to-ceiling windows (140cm wide, 2 sashes) especially on the upper floor. My question is therefore: Is it possible to retrofit them so that the bottom is fixed glazing and the top is a window sash? And preferably without tearing the frame out of the wall. In other words, simply "clip in" a fixed system at the bottom?

Thanks and regards Sven

Why not just get a professional involved right away, who will surely be able to answer all questions directly on site?

Hello Alex

Thanks for your note. But my experience is that most "experts" prefer a standard solution. When it gets more specialized, interest is quickly lost. So I need someone who knows their stuff and is a bit keen on tinkering.

Regards
Sven

Good evening Sven,

The word you are looking for is "Kämpferelement".

No - you cannot "tinker" afterwards; you have to have the entire window element replaced.

Rhenish regards
