Consultation by financial expert/real estate agent

when it comes to building, I am on completely new ground and therefore I would appreciate it if someone could advise me.

Now I have met a financial expert/real estate agent (incidentally through my construction company) who offers to support me until the house is completed. Payment is on a fee or brokerage basis.

Have you had any experience with this?

What other training does the acquaintance have that would qualify him as an "external construction consultant"?
