We have a construction period agreement from our general contractor which states 6 weeks of scheduling time plus 7 months of construction time. The scheduling time begins as soon as the building permit without conditions is available. We had a waiver from the municipality, but the district administrative office then found something that had to be changed on the plans. In your opinion, when would the time start? For the period over Christmas, 3 weeks are now also being added to the construction time. Is that lawful?

Hardly any construction takes place over Christmas and New Year. There are company holidays, etc. If it lasts three weeks, that's already good. As a rule, you don't even reach that.

Yes, I meant that my construction time should be extended by 3 weeks because of Christmas. That's all well and good, everyone should have their Christmas vacation, but 2 weeks would have been enough.

Interesting expectation :-). Your [GU] will then teach you a bit better if not all trades interlock and thus the construction time is exceeded.

So this construction period agreement is just for the birds. If he now says 4 weeks of company vacation, another 4 weeks will go by...

In the end, it will probably take a little longer overall. Due to the weather conditions, we have had a construction stop for 1 month. The time will, of course, be added at the end. This is also contractually regulated with us.
