Construction performance insurance / builder's liability

Hello everyone,

our construction will start next week (faster than expected).

We are currently taking care of the insurances.

We want to conclude a builder's liability and construction all-risk insurance as quickly as possible. After that, the building insurance will follow soon (incl. fire during shell construction).

On the internet, we have now come across Amex Generali on several comparison portals.
We have never heard of this insurance before.
The offer seems to be great.

Does it make sense to take out such an insurance (does anyone know it?) or should we rather go to someone we know and get advice there?

Do you have details about the offer from Generali? It is IMHO a reputable insurer.

In principle: an agency on site where there is someone you can see (this is how we do it with all insurances, and also no brokers in between).

If online: then definitely pay attention to countless reviews, if there are none, then I wouldn’t want to be a pioneer.
There are certainly direct insurers online where it works well and is good. But there are certainly also some where it is good and cheap until you have a claim.
Only during the claim settlement does it become clear how good the insurer really is.

Of course, an on-site insurance can also refuse or be sloppy.
But with a reputable chain, there is always a face to lose. And there are also reviews about them on the internet.

Insurance is nothing other than betting against life. The question is where you want to place your bet.

PS: how much money difference compared to a reputable one are we talking about?
