Hello everyone

Today I bought some items secondhand from a retired plumber. Because the gentleman seemed very honest to me, I didn’t examine the products very closely.

Only at home did I notice that of the two copper pipes, which in my opinion are the supply lines, only one of the two has the internal thread screw. Shouldn't both have it? Or can it be easily replaced?

One more question: the green color. Is it malachite or verdigris? My research has yielded contradictory answers.

Thanks for any help and regards

Michael

Good morning

The compression fitting was cut off in order to be able to dismantle the valve.

Remove the other one as well and use new fittings during assembly.

Thank you for your reply Olli

Can I do this with an angle valve? In other words: Are there angle valves that have the appropriate fitting?

Regards

Hello again

yes, the fittings on the angle valves fit.
since you will certainly have to extend the pipes, the easiest way is with flexible hoses.
3/8" union x 10mm compression ring

Thanks! Do you mean a part like the attached picture? And the straight one then goes into the angle valve
