Hello! Has anyone of you ever connected their dishwasher to the [Tärnan mixer tap (MB)]? There are these MBs with this option so that you can control the dishwasher’s water supply with a lever on top of the MB. This basically worked, the MB has one cold water hose, one hot water hose, and one hose to the dishwasher. The hot water supply runs through an instantaneous water heater. Now our problem: The dishwasher draws hot water! We would like to change this but don’t know how. If you swap the cold and hot water hoses, the red and blue markings on the tap don’t match at the top anymore. A call to Ikea brought no result. The answer was: "It can’t be our fault, the error must be on your side. You installed it wrong." But you can’t really do that much wrong, can you? I hope someone here can help me! Regards, Julia

Hello So far as I know your mixer tap is suitable for pressure system but not for non-pressure - for boilers a low-pressure mixer tap is required - but I am not an installer, just an I[i]KEA kitchen self assembler[/] best regards bergpriv

This mixer tap is not suitable for low pressure. See here:

[List:2dn8cogy]The mixer tap is suitable for pressure systems. Tested for water pressure up to 10 bar (1000 kPa). Recommended operating pressure: 1.0-5.0 bar (100 kPa - 500 kPa).
Connection for dishwasher is connected to cold water.
Complies with European standard.
Includes hoses with 3/8" connection piece. Connection length: 35 cm.
Is mounted using a 35 mm hole in a countertop up to 70 mm thick.
Max. hot water temperature: 80° C (176° F).[/List:u:2dn8cogy]

In extreme cases, you may damage the dishwasher due to insufficient water supply. Therefore, under no circumstances operate it with this. Please read the mixer tap instructions first, then install, and then check.

Why are you all always so clever and think that a manual is a waste of paper??? Read first, then build...

Merry Christmas

Note: I do not have a low-pressure device, but a [Durchlauferhitzer]!

So:
Is it a "real" tankless water heater with over 10 bar, or just a small boiler that heats the water that way.

So, first of all: It is a real instantaneous water heater! Secondly: What does this have to do with my question anyway?
