Connect a well-made dishwasher in the Ikea Metod kitchen

I am currently setting up my new metod kitchen. It includes a Välgjord dishwasher. Before installing it permanently, I wanted to test if it works. Plugged in the power cable and pressed the power button. You hear a faint crackling noise, but then the display doesn’t turn on. Is that normal? A safety circuit? Or could it be broken? Has anyone assembled this before?

By the way, the outlet works.

There was water in the bottom of the box. So it could be that the shipping company didn’t transport it only upright.

Thanks for a quick advice. Unfortunately, the Electrolux customer service is not open on Saturdays.

Hello, I would simply connect it to the water and try it out.

If it is not yet permanently installed, you can also access the power button when closed. However, the display only turns on when the device door is open.
