Hello dear people,

I have already been reading diligently here and have seen good suggestions again and again.
That is why I would like to present my topic here once and would appreciate criticism and suggestions.

We (two adults and two school-age children) have bought a single-family house, built in 1966, and are currently planning the complete renovation.
You can see the current planning status from the attached pictures. The structural analysis for the planned changes is currently being calculated.
Yellow is demolition, red is new construction. Although that is probably clear to you. :)

Unfortunately, the house only stands on strip foundations, which is why instead of the walls on the ground floor (parents' area) that we want to have removed (yellow), steel beams have to be installed there. This can probably be done, and ideally, the supports can be realized via the side walls. If supports have to remain standing, then it gets really difficult.

But maybe we're overlooking something and it could all be made much simpler.
At the moment, the plan is for the children to get the two large gable rooms in the upper floor and accordingly the bathroom upstairs will be a “children’s bathroom.”

Does anyone have any good suggestions or should we just go ahead like this?

Many thanks and best regards
