Comparison of two building plots regarding lighting conditions

As it happens in life, we were actually just about to purchase the plot.

But now a private individual has offered us another plot in the development area. And oops, there it is again, the uncertainty.

Maybe you could help me with the decision-making (at least for the "original" plot we have to decide for or against the purchase by the end of January).

The municipality offered us plots 1045 and 1046 (marked with a blue cross in the attachment) with a total area of 698 sqm.

Now two additional plots – numbers 998 and 999 in the attached plan (orange crosses) – are also in the running. Total area 775 sqm.

Regarding the lighting conditions, this combination seems more favorable to me. Placing the house on 998, with the living room and terrace facing south. Of course, the house on plot number 1000 (two-story) would block the sun towards the garden occasionally, especially in winter. But the house should still get enough light, right?

I would be very happy to hear your opinions and assessments.

The properties seem familiar to me; I think I remember having a conversation about this some time ago.

The municipality offered us the properties 1045 and 1046 (marked with a blue cross in the attachment) with a total area of 698 sqm. Now two further properties – numbers 998 and 999 (orange crosses) in the attached plan – are also in the lottery. Total area 775 sqm.

I don’t really see any advantages or disadvantages comparing both properties; both offers have the garden facing the street, and in both it can be extended on the west side.

Regarding the lighting conditions, this combination seems more favorable to me. Place the house on 998, with the living room or terrace facing south. Of course, the house on property number 1000 (two-story) would sometimes block the sun in the garden, especially in winter. But the house should still get enough light, right?

The advantage, if there is one, lies in the fact that 998 + 999 are located pretty much at the end of the street and are overall larger, but also require a higher purchase price. Maybe there is less traffic as well, provided the Urbanusstraße is not overused as a “shortcut” by residents.

You will get enough "light" on both property offers. If I remember correctly, only 1- or max. 2-story buildings are permitted ;)
