Color of baseboard for vinyl flooring

Hello,
we want to have vinyl flooring from the company Objectflor installed in the new house, but we are not quite agreed on the design of the skirting board yet.
Unfortunately, there are no skirting boards exactly matching the color and pattern of the selected flooring (wood look, oak). What to do? :

[*]Use white skirting boards, since almost all the walls are white anyway?
[*]Have the skirting boards covered with cut "leftover" strips?

Stick on the remaining strip, doesn’t look nice. I think white baseboards always fit somehow. If you’re unsure, get a baseboard and hold it up, you can always return it.

I would always only use white strips. Preferably tall, I like that best.
