Good morning everyone,
a quick question for the home builders with more experience.
Our house is basically finished, only the defect rectification on the windows is still outstanding.
One defect, about which I am still undecided with the window fitter, concerns the peeling paint on the corners of the window sashes (I have attached a picture for this).
Our windows are foiled and the edges of the profiles are welded and colored.
Due to the rubber seal on the window frame, the coloring is peeling off in the corners.
The window frames are made directly by the window fitter himself. According to him, this is not a defect, but rather normal deviations in the production process which can be fixed with a paint marker, and that this procedure has been agreed with the company Weka.
I asked my window fitter if this (if these are deviations in the normal production process) is basically the same problem with all window fitters. His answer was that there are production-specific deviations in their company.
Do you know such problems? And is this an actual defect? Or am I just being too picky?
Best regards
