Hello everyone,

we will install a climate split with 2 indoor units. We can lead the drain of the first unit into the wastewater. Unfortunately, the slope is too low for the second. However, the unit is quite close to the rain gutter. I could go through the outer wall and then directly into the downspout. Is this possible?

Regards and thanks Hannes

That is just water, why should that not be allowed.

As I have read, the condensate is quite often simply drained via the outdoor unit on flat roofs and then ends up in the gutter over the flat roof?

Hi
That is certainly possible and also permissible.
Alternatively, a small condensate pump is also conceivable.

My HVAC installer said that he would avoid using the pump if possible, as these are prone to faults. What disadvantages would there be if we go outside?
