Clever ideas & nice to haves for the house

Hi everyone,

I couldn't find a topic (or had trouble with search terms) that collects good ideas and clever solutions that "anyone" could use for building a house.

My list currently includes:

Laundry chute
Ceiling height in the basement +1 brick
Washing machine on a pedestal
Pedestal in the showers for sitting
Water outlet in the gutters
Power strip in the home gym to make it easier to move sockets

Of course, this is by far not everything you can consider ... you’re sure to have some ideas.
And I also understand that not everything fits everyone.
