Clay roof tiles instead of concrete roof stones - Is the surcharge justified?

Hello,

we have received an offer from our general contractor to upgrade our 11x9m house with a 45° gable roof.

Instead of concrete roof tiles (Braas Harzer Pfanne), clay roof tiles (Erlus E58Sl) will be installed.

What surcharge would be justified and how good are the tiles?

We are supposed to pay €2500 more for this...

What surcharge would be justified and how good are the stones or bricks?

Always the one that is worth paying to you ;)

The extra cost primarily results from the handling on site and the higher amount of breakage compared to commonly used concrete roof tiles.
