Hello dear electrical friends
We are building a single-family house where I am doing the electrical work myself with some help. For shading, we decided on venetian blinds operated by SMI motors. Perhaps some of you have already realized that we are doing a KNX installation. So I can connect the motors in a ring and not as usual in a star configuration.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not installing the cable for the motors in the ceiling beforehand. My window installer has now suggested fastening the cable to the exterior wall. Per floor, you can simply run it once along the exterior wall and connect the motors. Since we are getting an ETICS (external thermal insulation composite system), the cable can be well hidden. As far as I know, this is also done in passive house standards to avoid too many drillings through the exterior wall.
The motor is equipped with a Hirschmann connector. I can pull this out of the box and remove the motor. So far so good. But now I also have to get to the terminals and here I am uncertain. The window installer says there is some space to accommodate the terminals. The "passive house standard" apparently does it this way as well, but there are also opinions saying there's no space there to install it properly. The Hirschmann connector also needs space.
Here is the technical drawing of the box. The yellow areas are supposed to be 30mm wide and 40mm high. The Hirschmann connector and the terminals should fit here.

Here is the drawing of the motor:

My idea now is to use a 5x 1.5mm² cable on the exterior wall to control each motor. I will lay a sufficiently long cable into the box (and one out again) so that I can comfortably clamp the cables with the motor below the box. Then I squeeze myself past the slat and clamp the cable in the highlighted cable areas. If necessary, I will tape or something similar there in case the cables slip down.
What do you think, will it work? I am aware it will not be fun, but I assume I will only do it once, and if it really comes to that, I can still reach it. Of course, I could also put a box inside the house, chase grooves, drill holes, lay cables from room to room, ... but if I can conveniently run it on the exterior wall, why not?
I look forward to your opinions. Thanks in advance!
