Hello community,
our single-family house with 1 1/2 floors is getting a wooden beam ceiling.
On the underside, counter battens with drywall are planned. The attic/roof space will be insulated at the roof slopes and closed with a vapor barrier. Currently, it is not planned to panel the roof slopes in the attic. On the upper floor, the roof slopes will be paneled with double drywall boards.
Since the attic is also to become walkable, the collar beams that receive no insulation must be paneled. What is best to use here to possibly also do something for sound/impact sound insulation? Can I install OSB boards without problems since the vapor barrier is installed on the roof slopes, or could there still be mold problems if OSB boards are used?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards, David
