Change the building application or intervene beforehand?

Hello,
we finally submitted the building application 2 weeks ago... Well, as it happens, we have now changed our minds regarding the roof pitch; the roof should be about 10° flatter.
The municipal council meeting has not yet taken place (it is in 10 days). However, our planner says we should first wait for the approval and then submit a change request, which would be simpler and without major costs. (The change is also within the development plan, but we are generally outside the BP as we are somewhat larger)

However, our planner thinks we should first wait for the approval and then submit an amendment application, which would be simpler and without large costs. (The change is also within the development plan, but we are generally outside the development plan because we are somewhat larger.)

One would think that your planner knows "his area" very well; therefore he is probably right.

Naturally, I see it somewhat differently; you can still withdraw the building application or ask to hold it until the views/sections are exchanged. Then it would "only" cost money once.

Is the volume/living area calculation also/ not affected by the lower roof pitch?

I would also say: the earlier the better. For us, a (partly) new BA due to a window change was not a problem and did not cost us 30€. However, that is certainly not transferable to you.
