Good day everyone,
which central blind controls do you use? I am an electrical engineer myself and could program something. However, since I am quite busy, it should not be too complex. I have 15 blinds. These should be operated on the upper and ground floors each with a central switch. Control via app or browser should also be possible. I have already installed the PEHA central control once. I didn’t like it that much. Since I don’t need much gimmickry in my place, I consciously decided against smart home or anything like that at the time.

It is possible with a Siemens Logo, but due to the low number of inputs and outputs, I immediately need many components, which is not necessarily nicer.

Maybe one or the other has already implemented something like this in the past and has an idea. Programming or so is no problem, but currently I’m missing the brilliant idea to implement it as reasonably as possible.

Best regards

We had exactly the same problem. My husband programmed and tinkered something of his own with Arduino. It works and including the relay cost about 300 Euros.

Hello kaho, this is probably something for me for the time when we have finished and moved into the house. We do many tasks ourselves, so unfortunately there is currently no time to put something like this together.

We had already moved in for quite a while before my husband finished it. Until then, it was operated manually.

There are so many possibilities, all a question of comfort/effort/price/programming skills:

1) You could take the next bigger PLC (e.g. S7-1200, WAGO, ABB etc.) with more I/Os. If this is not enough, then additionally a decentralized I/O peripheral or a larger PLC. Do you only want it via switch or do you also want HMI? That is, display on a panel. With PLC technology, it gets expensive quickly.
If it should not be a PLC, there are various SBCs (Single Board Computers) like Arduino / Raspberry PI. Less electrical engineering... more IT technology.
Additionally the question: hard wiring / BUS like KNX/2-wire or wireless connection with Wi-Fi/Z-Wave/Zigbee. Here you are then close again to home automation...

Hello xelly

I have now programmed it with two Logo 8 and expansions. For this, I found a suitable app. Later, I can also control the outdoor lighting and irrigation through it. Many thanks for the answers
