Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to break through a hollow core slab ceiling to install a staircase. The plan states that the ceiling is a Keiser Katzenberger ceiling, similar to the one in the picture. I have absolutely no idea about renovations, etc., but I would say that as long as the beams are removed and the width corresponds to the distance between beams multiplied by x, it should be possible.

Thank you

However, the picture shows a coved ceiling. What is actually present? - Basically, your project shouldn’t be rocket science, but on the other hand, it’s also not a project "for two Poles and a hammer." Architects don’t only design complete houses but are also advisable to consult for such projects.

Thank you for your answer.

The ceiling is a [Kappendecke], but on the plan it says [kaiser katzenbergerdecke]... whatever that is. Of course, I wouldn't do it myself, just wanted to know if it's possible and not extremely complicated...

Feasible, yes. Possibly with replacements, as with wooden beams as well. Nothing more can be said on the image-less crystal ball level.
