Carport too short. How can I extend it?

Hello everyone,

I am planning to buy a longer car and now my carport is a bit too short. To be exact, the length of the vehicle matches the length of the carport exactly.

The question is how I can possibly extend the carport. I have already thought about a door canopy like [Haustürvordach]. But those are mostly not wide enough.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips?

I do not want to move or add any pillars.

What kind of carport? Wood, metal, brick, wooden roof, double wall sheets, location at the house or freestanding, how long should it be, etc. Provide us with information and pictures, then you will get a suitable answer tailored to your specific situation.

I can't think of any disadvantage that the car fits exactly under the carport. An extension of the carport would be, depending on the existing construction, a visual impairment. In addition, there are planning law concerns due to the enlarged roof area (structural engineering, drainage...).
