Can you do without roller shutters on triple-glazed windows?

I am just considering whether I can do without the exterior shutters on triple-glazed windows. In terms of thermal insulation, that bit of plastic doesn't really help much anyway, does it? For darkening, I can also use interior blinds. What do you think, how much do the exterior shutters contribute to thermal insulation?

There are already special thermal insulating roller shutters; however, the regular roller shutters seen on most houses are neither truly thermal insulating (nor do they increase burglary security).

For summer heat protection, exterior roller shutters are better than interior blinds; otherwise, interior Venetian blinds or roller blinds also darken well.

I also had new windows installed, and they have triple glazing. The question of shutters, yes or no, also arose. I decided to have them because I find it much cozier in the evening, especially in the winter months. They also provide effective sound insulation, as a heavily trafficked road runs very close by.

We also left the roller shutters on. On the one hand, it increases security and it also provides some insulation. These roller shutters also serve as soundproofing.

I would not dismantle the roller shutters either. I think that's good and somehow they also suit the house. The appearance makes a big difference.
