Hello everyone!
I am currently having my facade done and just became suspicious because the 2mm silicate flat plaster I chose was applied fully down to the base. I would have expected the last 30cm before the ground to be plastered with a special base plaster. When I asked why this was the case, I was told that the silicate plaster would also be suitable for the base area. However, I have never seen this before. All the bases of the houses in the neighborhood are plastered with a different plaster.
Therefore, my question: Is the use of the above-mentioned silicate plaster in the base area professional if the substrate is properly prepared, and if I subsequently paint the last 30cm with a corresponding dark silicate base paint (to prevent soiling of the white facade)?
Thank you for your input and best regards from NRW.
