Can plastic decorative profiles (capitals) be glued on afterwards?

Our little house is supposed to appear in a country house style, and so we are also considering sprucing up the plastic windows with vertical capitals (decorative profiles). Since we are unsure about this, we would prefer to initially order the windows without them and see how it looks. If they then turn out to be too plain for us, we would like to have the decorative profiles attached afterwards. My question is... is that possible?... will it hold?... or does it have to be glued at the factory right away? Best regards, Steffi.

So I would only use an internal grid. It is much easier to keep clean.

Hello Robson... in this case the saying applies... If you want to be beautiful, you have to suffer... I just think it looks better with snap-on grilles... so I also have to deal with cleaning them

I would personally also only choose interior ones, I am way too lazy to clean every corner all the time.

I once read in a house building blog that they later glued some on.
Search for "Selbstklebende Fenstersprossen nachträglich anbringen – Erfahrungsbericht," then you will find the report I mean.

Hello wildthing, it's not about window muntins... they are definitely already there.. It's about decorative profiles/elements (also called capitals) which are glued onto the vertical window muntins. Best regards Steffi

Ah ok... I've never heard of that before. Then unfortunately I can't contribute anything. Sorry
