Hello,

I wanted to ask if I can simply lay new tiles over the existing floor tiles in my bathroom or if I first need to remove the old tiles before laying new ones.

Thank you very much!

hello nicobischof,

yes, it is possible to stick new tiles onto the old ones. for this, a tile adhesive suitable for this purpose is used. however, it is very important that the old tiles are clean and free of dirt before starting the work. if the old tiles are loose in any way, then the adhesion cannot be guaranteed.

best regards,

ok, thanks for the reply :-) Then I'll have a look around the hardware store to see what they have :-)

Hello nicobischof,

If I were you, I would first see how everything works out with the height if you want to tile over it. Are the tiles still in good condition? If yes, then you can certainly tile over them. There is a special primer for the tiles, so the tile adhesive will definitely hold on the old tiles.
