Cable connection or telecom connection?

Hello,
we are currently considering whether we should have a cable/telephone connection installed. Our problem is that Telekom can only offer us a 3000 line, the cable connection provides 32,000 and thus we could get our internet/telephone/TV via cable. Now we are wondering whether we should still have a telephone connection installed or not?
What have you done? Or how would you decide?

Then I would ask the cable provider (Kabel Deutschland???) what it costs to connect your house.

They wanted €5,500 from us, so the matter was quickly settled.

With us, it is Unitymedia who would make the connection. For us, the main question is whether you even need a Telekom connection then? Or would you not have this done additionally?

Theoretically you don't need Telekom then, but I would rather not make myself so dependent on just one provider..:cool: If the cable connection had been cheaper for us, I would still have invested the 400€ for Telekom - you never know what else might come....:D

That is the minimum price. Normally, it depends on the distance to the connection point. Just have Telekom make you an offer.
