Buying tiles abroad - experience?

has anyone here perhaps already done this?

This morning I had the idea that one could buy tiles abroad. I’m not far from the Czech Republic. While browsing the internet, I found a tile store in Teplice. I immediately went there and checked out the shop. It has a showroom. It wasn’t bad at all.

Anyone have experience with this? Is it doable? I mean fences, windows, carports come from Poland. Why not also tiles from abroad. Besides, there are also tiles here from Italy, Spain, or elsewhere.

We chose the tiles back then, received the numbers on a slip of paper, gave them to the construction company/the tiler, and then magically everything was finished. That is omitted if you buy it externally. You have to convince the tiler to install externally purchased materials (who is liable for material defects? who pays for installation and removal). You have to transport it and explain it to the bank. I would critically question whether you really save anything there.

That depends on the BU. Our [BU] said, get the tiles wherever you want. We will tell you how much. The costs may be up to 25,- net. If you buy from Fliesenharry in Lübeck, it goes through our [Kd.Nr.] and you get a 10% discount. Karsten

If you want to lay the tiles yourself, I would buy them there if the price is right. Why not.
