Hello everyone,

we want to sow grass soon. Are there any recommendations?

About 120 sqm, mostly sunny, only shade in the evening hours. It should be a "play" lawn since our kids are still small.

Is standard 08/15 seed from the hardware store enough here or what should one use?

Do you want to sow or roll?

My parents used [Sportrasen] at the time and were satisfied with it. And we will also choose a very durable lawn, especially because of the children.

So if extreme shade doesn't ruin the plan, a type of [Sportrasen] is the preferred choice. The main thing is durability.

Hello, search the internet for gf sun grass pro, the provider also offers other blends, we took that one and are very satisfied.

Take a look at the varieties contained in the respective mixes. For normal locations (no extreme shade), an 0815 mix is sufficient in my opinion. More important than the seed is the care after sowing, i.e. regular mowing, so that the right varieties can thrive well. The nutrient supply should also be adequate.

Are there also types of grass that grow very slowly, for example? So that you don't have to mow often later on, or are they all the same in that regard?

There is, but in my opinion it is not durable enough with children. It just heals slowly.
