Hello everyone,
we have the opportunity to get a wooden house built in log construction at a good price. However, the room layout is problematic. Some rooms are very small, and for our taste, there are too many bathrooms included. Also, considering the included sloping ceilings, we would actually only take the property if the rooms can be redesigned.
The question is whether this is even possible with a wooden house. The character related to wood inside the house would not be that important to us. From our point of view, one could also install lightweight walls and then wallpaper them, provided that the wooden walls can be removed relatively easily.
Since some bathrooms would also have to be restructured, the question arises for us whether waste water and supply lines can be easily adjusted.
Does anyone of you have experience with converting a wooden house? We do have some budget for a conversion, but it should not go on indefinitely...
Thanks for your answers!
