Good morning everyone,

I have a question:

In my finalized plans, a concrete ceiling is planned for the attic.

Can I now spontaneously realize this as a wooden beam ceiling, or would I need to have the plan changed for this? It is an exemption approval.
The companies I asked say I can simply change it as I want, but I am unsure.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Why such a downgrade? Is there a nice credit for that?

The change affects the static calculations, which would need to be updated. The freestanding [Freisteller] must have them available before the start of execution, i.e., the general contractor could easily adjust them by then. It should be possible.

This is not a downgrade, but an equivalent alternative that is not freely variable, however, and has impacts on other elements of the house: (pro) the wall positioning of the upper floor becomes more flexible and possibly the ground floor ceiling "lighter" can be realized, (contra) the roof structure changes accordingly, which does not necessarily represent a cost reduction overall and must be professionally assessed on a case-by-case basis. However, we know far too little about the specific house project here, so I can only refer to "Plan change: The concrete ceiling should become a wooden ceiling" (which you have to google in quotation marks, as I am not allowed to link it here).
